چکیده

BP: bullous pemphigoid TNF: tumor necrosis factor INTRODUCTION Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an uncommon skin condition in which erythematous, urticarial papules and plaques progress to form tense bullae, typically in elderly men and women. In this disease, IgG autoantibodies are directed against hemidesmosome proteins, resulting in the formation of subepidermal vesicles. At least 50 drugs have been associated with BP, including the antietumor necrosis factor (TNF)-a drugs etanercept, infliximab, and adalimumab. Here we describe a case of suspected adalimumabinduced BP in a patient with ulcerative colitis.

Bullous Pemphigoid with Lymphocytic Colitis: A Case Report and Short Literature Review

The association of autoimmune bullous diseases (i.e., bullous pemphigoid, linear IgA disease, mucous membrane pemphigoid and IgA pemphigus) and inflammatory bowel disease, namely ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease has formerly been reported. However, to our knowledge, we report herein the first case of lymphocytic colitis with concomitant bullous pemphigoid.

SIR, Epidermolysisbullosaacquisita (EBA) is an acquired auto-immune bullous disease of the skin and mucous membranes characterized by IgG autoantibodies to type VII collagen, the main constituent of the anchoring fibrils of the dermal– epidermal juction. Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) may be associated with autoimmunity to type VII collagen. Erythema gyratumrepens (EGR), an obligate paraneop...

Linear IgA Dermatosis associated with ulcerative colitis: complete and sustained remission after total colectomy*

Linear IgA dermatosis has been increasingly associated with inflammatory bowel diseases, particularly ulcerative colitis. A 13-year-old male patient with an 11-month history of ulcerative colitis developed vesicles, pustules and erosions on the skin of the face, trunk and buttocks and in the oral mucosa. The work-up revealed a neutrophil-rich sub-epidermal bullous disease and linear deposition ...

Achievement of sustained deep remission with adalimumab in a patient with both refractory ulcerative colitis and seronegative erosive rheumatoid arthritis.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is commonly associated with peripheral inflammatory arthritis, and it has been estimated that as many as 12% of IBD patients report these manifestations. However, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is rarely associated with ulcerative colitis (UC). Among all the biological agents available, nine have been currently approved for the treatment of RA. Conversely, only Infli...
